Ogata Kenzan

Ogata Kenzan was born in Kyoto and was a famous potter and painter. He was the younger brother of the painter Ogata Kōrin, and together they made some of the most beautiful objects of their time. He decorated ceramics with simple, beautiful designs. He died in Edo (Tokyo) in 1743.
