Green Line
Olga Rozanova Β· 1917
Why it's great
A single vertical green stripe runs down the center of a pale canvas. Olga Rozanova painted this in 1917 as one of the most daring and quiet abstract paintings of the Russian avant-garde, and she died the next year at the age of 32.
