Giotto and Cimabue
Jose Maria Obregon · 1857
Why it's great
The young shepherd boy Giotto draws a sheep in the dirt as the great painter Cimabue watches in amazement. According to legend, Cimabue saw Giotto's talent and took him as a student. José María Obregón, a Mexican painter, painted this famous story in 1857. It's about discovering a gift.
