Les Petits Jardiniers

Antoine Plamondon Β· 1857

Why it's great

Two small children dig and plant in a garden, with their gardening tools. Antoine Plamondon, a Quebec painter, made this charming scene of childhood. It's one of his less formal pictures. It shows how Canadian painters also painted scenes of everyday life.
