Saint Jerome in His Study
Niccolò Antonio Colantonio · 1444
Why it's great
Saint Jerome sits at his desk in a cluttered room and pulls a thorn from the paw of a lion who has become his friend. Niccolò Colantonio painted it in 1444, and it has books, a cat and many little details to find.
