The Family of Philip V

Louis-Michel van Loo Β· 1743

Why it's great

The King of Spain and his queen sit with their children, in a splendid hall, in rich satins. Van Loo painted a large group portrait to display the royal family in 1743. Each member is carefully painted in elegant clothes. It's a glimpse of Spanish royalty.
