Saint Margaret of Antioch
Francisco de Zurbarán · 1630
Why it's great
A young shepherdess in a beautiful dress holds a palm and a small dragon on a leash. Francisco de Zurbarán painted Saint Margaret in about 1630, and she looks like a real girl of the time.
