The Tribuna of the Uffizi

Johann Zoffany Β· 1774

Why it's great

Dozens of gentlemen crowd into a famous gallery in Florence, studying paintings and statues from the Renaissance. Queen Charlotte commissioned Zoffany to paint the picture, and he squeezed in masterpieces from all over the museum. He arranged the artworks and people as he liked. It's a picture of a museum filled with art.
