Two girls in the snow
Isaac Israëls · 1890
Why it's great
Two girls in warm winter clothes walk through a snowy street, looking out from under their hats. Isaac Israëls, a Dutch Impressionist, loved painting city people in motion. The quick brushwork makes the snow and the figures feel fresh. It's a charming winter moment.
