Beach Scene in Scheveningen

Isaac Israëls · 1900

Why it's great

Visitors stroll and play on the sunny beach at Scheveningen, the seaside resort near The Hague, under a wide sky. Isaac Israëls painted the busy beach with light, quick strokes. The tiny figures and sparkling sand are very lively. It's a happy summer day by the North Sea.
