View from the Artist's Window
Martinus Rørbye · 1825
Why it's great
Through an open window, you can see the rooftops and the harbor of Copenhagen, on a sunny day. Martinus Rørbye painted it in a clear and precise way. It's an unusual 'window picture,' which fits inside and outside in one. It's a charming early Danish painting.
