Beacon Light, Saint John Harbour

Henry Sandham · 1879

Why it's great

A sailing ship glows in dim, hazy light near the harbor of Saint John, New Brunswick. Henry Sandham painted Atlantic Canada's ports and coasts in a clear, careful way. The soft light on the water gives the scene a quiet mood. It's a calm harbor view.
