The Ten Largest, No. 6

Hilma af Klint Β· 1907

Why it's great

Tall shapes like an hourglass or a plant stand out in the sixth painting of Hilma af Klint's Ten Largest series of 1907. She painted abstract pictures years before Kandinsky, though almost no one saw them until long after she died.
