Kunsthaus Zürich
Zürich's art museum holds the largest collection of Edvard Munch outside Norway, plus Monet, Giacometti and a big collection of Swiss art.
History of the museum
The Zürich Art Society built the museum, designed by Karl Moser, which opened in 1910. The Swiss collection of Alberto Giacometti was added over time, and so was the Foundation E. G. Bührle Collection of Impressionist paintings in a 2021 extension by David Chipperfield.
