Evening of Summer
Halfdan Egedius Β· 1893
Why it's great
A calm Norwegian summer evening, with a soft glow in the sky and the stillness of the land. Halfdan Egedius was a young Norwegian painter who died at only 25, but who painted with great sensitivity. The quiet mood is almost like music. It's a gentle and dreamy landscape.
