Gabrielle Cot

William-Adolphe Bouguereau Β· 1890

Why it's great

A young girl with red hair looks out with soft, grave eyes, wearing a white dress. Bouguereau painted her in 1890. The soft realism is typical of his work. It's a sensitive portrait of a child.
