Le Pont de glace à Québec

Clarence Gagnon · 1920

Why it's great

People cross the frozen St. Lawrence River at Quebec on an ice bridge in winter. Clarence Gagnon loved to paint Quebec's snow, villages and winter life. In cold winters the river froze solid, and people could walk across. It's a cheerful picture of Canadian winter.
