Morning Glories
Suzuki Kiitsu · 1850
Why it's great
Blue and white morning glories climb up and fill the screen with green vines, in a bright, modern-looking design. Suzuki Kiitsu, a Japanese painter from Edo, was a student of Sakai Hōitsu. The flowers seem to float in the air. It's a graceful picture of a summer flower.
