Saint Sebastian Attended by Saint Irene
Georges de La Tour Β· 1649
Why it's great
A woman holds a torch to look at the wounds of Saint Sebastian, as another woman pulls out an arrow. Georges de La Tour painted this in about 1649, and the torch lights up their serious faces.
