The Cheat with the Ace of Diamonds

Georges de La Tour · 1635

Why it's great

A young man at a card table is being cheated by a woman, a maid and a man with a card hidden behind his back, with everyone glancing at each other. Georges de La Tour painted it in about 1635, and the sly looks make it so funny.
