A Woman with a Basket of Beans in a Garden
Pieter de Hooch Β· 1651
Why it's great
A woman and a child sit in a sunlit garden, with a basket of beans, near a wall. Pieter de Hooch painted it in 1651, and the quiet, everyday scene is full of light.
