The Little Street

Johannes Vermeer Β· 1658

Why it's great

The front of two brick houses and a narrow alley, with a woman sewing at a doorway, and children playing on the ground. Johannes Vermeer painted it in about 1658, and it is one of his only pictures of the outside of a house.
