National Museum of Fine Arts (Philippines)
A neoclassical building in Manila, once the home of the legislature, holds Juan Luna's giant Spoliarium, the pride of the nation's art.
History of the museum
Juan Luna won the gold medal at the 1884 Madrid exposition with his Spoliarium, a symbol for Filipinos of their struggle under Spain. The national museum now holds it in a hall that was once the Senate of the Philippines.
