A meeting in the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters

Peder Severin Krøyer · 1897

Why it's great

Dozens of serious men in dark suits sit and stand around a large table at a meeting. Krøyer painted this as a huge group portrait for the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences. It shows many leading scientists of the time. It's a record of Denmark's great minds.
