A View of Delft

Carel Fabritius Β· 1652

Why it's great

A narrow, curved view of a Dutch street in Delft shows a man at a stall selling a viola da gamba, with a statue and a bench. Carel Fabritius painted it in 1652, and the picture is made to look right in a special viewing box.
