The Heavenly and Earthly Trinities
Bartolomé Esteban Murillo · 1678
Why it's great
The baby Jesus stands between his parents, Mary and Joseph, on earth, and above them God the Father and the Holy Spirit look down. Bartolomé Esteban Murillo painted it in about 1678, and it joins the earthly and the heavenly families.
