Arearea

Paul Gauguin Β· 1892

Why it's great

Women in the Tahitian countryside play music under a red dog's gaze, with a spirit figure in the background. 'Arearea' means 'joyousness.' Gauguin's colors are bold and flat. It's a dreamy scene.
