Autumn in France

Emily Carr Β· 1911

Why it's great

Trees in fall colors line a country lane in France. Emily Carr studied in Paris and Brittany, and learned about the bright colors of Post-Impressionism. She painted this with a bold, free brush. It shows her artistic growth before returning to Canada.
