Breton Farm Yard

Emily Carr Β· 1911

Why it's great

A farmyard in Brittany, with old buildings and the glow of sunlight. Emily Carr painted this during her time in France. The bright colors show she was learning from the modern painters there. She would later bring these lessons home to Canada.
