The Happy Family

Jan Steen Β· 1668

Why it's great

A family sings and plays music together at a table with food and drink, while a little boy smokes a pipe and a baby holds a glass. Jan Steen painted it in about 1668, and the proverb says that as the old sing, so the young pipe.
