Wine is a Mocker

Jan Steen Β· 1668

Why it's great

A drunk husband and a wife get rowdy in a messy room, while a boy plays with a cat and a servant tells everyone it's time to go home. Jan Steen painted it in about 1668, and the title means that wine makes a fool of you.
