The World Before the Flood
William Etty Β· 1828
Why it's great
A group of people gather in a rich, dreamlike garden before the great Flood of Noah's time. Etty painted a lush, paradise-like world about to be washed away. The colors are warm and glowing. It's an imaginative Bible scene.
