Bailed Up

Tom Roberts Β· 1895

Why it's great

A group of bushrangers, outlaws, hold up a stagecoach on a dusty Australian road. Tom Roberts painted this in 1895 based on a real story he'd heard. The mix of danger and adventure was very popular. It's an exciting scene from Australia's wild past.
