Dynamism of a Cyclist
Umberto Boccioni ยท 1913
Why it's great
A cyclist speeds through a swirl of colors and broken shapes, as if time is stretched. Boccioni painted this in the Futurist style, which celebrated speed. The picture seems to vibrate. It's an exciting picture of motion.
