The Grote Markt in Haarlem with the St. Bavo church, seen from the west
Gerrit Adriaenszoon Berckheyde · 1696
Why it's great
A big church with a huge tower stands over a market square in Haarlem, with tiny people walking and talking around it. Gerrit Berckheyde painted it in about 1696, and he painted many pictures of his home town.
