The Storm on the Sea of Galilee
Rembrandt Β· 1633
Why it's great
Christ's disciples struggle in a small boat in a huge storm, while Christ sleeps in the back. Rembrandt painted it in 1633, and it is his only seascape. It was stolen in 1990 and has never been found, so this is the only way to see it.
