Veronica Veronese
Dante Gabriel Rossetti Β· 1872
Why it's great
A woman in a green dress plays the violin, in a bright room with a window. Rossetti painted the model Alexa Wilding with a flowing golden hair, as a musician. It's a feast of color. It's a rich portrait of music and beauty.
