An Old Man and his Grandson
Domenico Ghirlandaio · 1490
Why it's great
A little boy looks up lovingly at his grandfather, whose nose is lumpy with bumps. Domenico Ghirlandaio painted it in about 1490, and he didn't hide the old man's skin condition, which makes it feel honest and warm.
