Portrait of a Musician

Leonardo da Vinci · 1485

Why it's great

A young man with curly hair holds a piece of music and looks over his shoulder as though he has been interrupted. Leonardo da Vinci painted it in about 1485, and this is the only portrait of a man by Leonardo that we know of.
