Lady Caroline Howard
Joshua Reynolds Β· 1778
Why it's great
A little girl in a white dress and a pink sash sits on the ground in a garden, with her hands clasped, looking up. Reynolds painted the nine-year-old. The soft light and her sweet expression are charming. It's a favorite among his child portraits.
