Quisisana seen from a Terrace with the Royal Household
Johan Christian Dahl · 1820
Why it's great
A view of a palace on the Bay of Naples is seen from a terrace, with the royal family's household nearby. Johan Christian Dahl visited Italy in 1820 and painted the sunny coast. The warm light and blue sea were a great change from his northern home. It's a bright, sunlit travel picture.
