Scenes from the Passion of Christ

Hans Memling Β· 1470

Why it's great

Dozens of tiny scenes tell the story of Jesus's last days, in a busy city with towers and gates. Hans Memling painted this in about 1470, and the artist put the whole story in a single picture, so you can follow it like a comic strip.
