Triptych of Adriaan Reins

Hans Memling Β· 1480

Why it's great

Christ's body is held in a picture from the Bible, and saints and the man who paid for it, Adriaan Reins, look on. Hans Memling painted it in 1480 for a hospital in Bruges, where it still hangs.
