The Little Peasant

Amedeo Modigliani · 1918

Why it's great

A boy in a blue jacket and a hat sits with a quiet, wide-eyed face. Modigliani painted the portrait of a young peasant in a simple style. The long face and soft colors are typical. It's an affecting portrait.
