The Seine at Bougival

Alfred Sisley · 1876

Why it's great

A calm bend of the river, with soft blue reflections and a tree-lined bank, and a few houses, under a blue sky with clouds. Alfred Sisley painted the peaceful French countryside in the Impressionist style. The sky is as important as the land. It's a lovely river view.
