The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things
Hieronymus Bosch · 1500
Why it's great
A large circle shows seven scenes of the deadly sins around a big eye, with a different story for each sin, such as anger, pride or greed. This was painted by Hieronymus Bosch or a follower, in about 1500, and the eye in the middle says 'Beware, beware, God sees.'
