Ecce Homo

Hieronymus Bosch Β· 1490

Why it's great

Christ stands with a crown of thorns before a shouting crowd, and a lot of people lean in with gleaming faces. Hieronymus Bosch painted it in about 1490, and the crowd's wild faces are painted in a spooky, cartoon-like way.
