Spring. High water
Isaac Levitan Β· 1897
Why it's great
A spring flood covers a field, with its trees standing in the water, as the ice melts and the sky is a delicate blue. Levitan painted the first sign of spring in Russia. The colors are soft and silvery. It's a delicate landscape.
